Good bike for the buck, June 7, 2012 This review is from: Diamondback 2012 Podium 4 Road Bike (Matte Black) (Sports) I saw this bike on Amazon with a 1-star rating, and had to check it out 'cause I saw the bike at a shop and rode it, and it was a decent ride. Looks like the complaint is about a 105 shifter on the bike. The bike I rode was all Ultegra, and that's what the spec calls out, so it seems a little odd.
This isn't an Elite road bike, but it'd be a sweet crit or Cat-3-or-below ride. Anyways, just putting in my two cents.

Road raced in my teens and rode with a touring club for several years in later life. Have completed a couple dozen century rides years ago. Wanted a decent bike for one to two hour rides around my area. Diamondback is a well known name with a good reputation. The Podium 4 looked like a good mid-priced road bike. Mine arrived last week in excellent condition with all the correct gear on it. Assembly is 90% complete out of the box. After completing assembly I had to adjust the front derailleur, otherwise she was ready to roll. The bike appears to be well designed and manufactured. It rides and handles well. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality road bike in this price range.

Dissapointment, February 14, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Diamondback 2012 Podium 4 Road Bike (Matte Black) (Sports) I bought this bike because of the Ultegra components, but when I open the package "Bingo" the 10-Spd Dual Control Shifters where Shimano 105. (lower level compared to ultregra) WTF, know I have to return all the bike because of that. The real problem..... This bike was a gift for my little brother, so he would made his first triathlon competition, so I would not return the bike. I feel I litle bit Rob
