Excellent Bike, November 29, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Diamondback 2012 Podium 1 Road Bike (White) (Sports) Assembly was intuitive, all the tools needed were provided. No pedals are shown in the picture but they are included. I had the derailers adjusted at a shop for around 30$ - you'll probably want to have this done - once complete it rode perfectly.

I have been on several 20, 30, 40 mile road trips. The bike handles well. I rode a DiamondBack Outlook mountain bike for over 16 years,it has been a good bike, so I went back with DiamondBack. The Podium 1 came mostly put together, I had to install front wheel, seat and seat post and had to run the cables for the front and rear brakes and adjust them. I'm not exactly a bike mechanic, the only component I had to have adjusted were the front and rear derailers. I highly recommend this bike!

The packaging was under par and when I arrived I noticed a hole on the side which made me clinch with fear thinking its damaged. Thankfully the whole missed any vital components and frame. With that said the bike is great, looks super sharp and when I took it to a top notch cycle shop to tweak it and get it road ready some it got a lot of looks. This is my first bike so for a starter look no further. You will love its looks and sharp lines. I give it a 5 star becuase Im really impress on how it looks. Let me add I have written it already over 5 times along with friends who have $2000 plus bikes and had no problem keeping up. At the end of the day Im glad I pulled the trigger with this bike.
